Famous commodities strategist points out that the risk of U.S. gasoline prices rising to $5 per gallon before the midterm elections is "very high". Jeff Currie, a seasoned strategist deeply rooted in the commodities sector, stated that due to the combined negative effects of tight supply and currency depreciation, there is a high likelihood that the average U.S. gasoline price will reach $5 per gallon before the midterm elections. Currie, founder and CEO of Real Macro, revealed that the supply gap that first appeared in the refined oil market has now spread upstream to crude oil, marking a new stage of energy shock fraught with risks. Currie previously worked at Goldman Sachs, and this experience has made him highly renowned on Wall Street. In an interview on Friday, Currie mentioned, "Crude oil is the real market signal. The fluctuations in refined oil products we often discuss now are just market noise."
