Chief Executive Jason Buechel said hourly workers will get a pay increase on Sept. 28, bringing the average store team member's wage to over $21 an hour and total compensation to more than $29 an hour, including benefits. Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, eligible workers will gain access to Amazon's health, family and financial benefits, while nearly 20,000 part-time workers will receive dental, vision and basic life insurance coverage, the company said. Later in 2027, workers will gain access to Amazon's Career Choice program, which prepays tuition for college, skills training and certifications, the company added.
