NASA contractor Rothe Development rushes to Nasdaq, plans to raise $50 millions
Rothe Development, a contractor that provides engineering and mission operations services to NASA and other federal agencies, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $50 million through an initial public offering (IPO).
According to Zhichong Finance APP, Rothe Development, a contractor providing engineering and mission operation services for NASA and other federal agencies, submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday to raise up to $50 million through an initial public offering (IPO).
It is understood that Rothe Development offers engineering, mission operations, and technical services to NASA, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies, while also providing precision calibration services to commercial clients. Its government services division operates through six main business lines: the NASA Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (which supports major astronaut extravehicular activity training and mission simulation facilities for the International Space Station and Artemis program), mission control video systems and NASA television production, ground systems and telemetry & facilities infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT services, and engineering services. Its commercial services division provides calibration and metrology services to clients in the aerospace, defense, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. The vast majority of the company's revenue comes from NASA, mainly through cost-plus contracts. The company is primarily based in the Houston metropolitan area, near the NASA Johnson Space Center.
This Webster, Texas-based company was founded in 1967 and achieved $122 million in revenue in the 12 months ended June 30, 2026. The company plans to list on Nasdaq, but has not yet disclosed its stock symbol. Rothe Development confidentially submitted its IPO application on July 29, 2026. Titan Partners is acting as the sole bookrunner for the deal. Pricing terms have not been disclosed.
