Carney Touts Canada Pivot Away From US As Trump Threatens New Penalties

Canada's retaliatory tariffs on $27.6 billion of US imports took effect Tuesday, covering steel, aluminum and dairy products, according to the report. President Donald Trump responded by threatening to restrict Canadian companies from securing US government contracts. Trump also threatened to block sales of Bombardier Aviation unless the Quebec-based aircraft maker moves manufacturing to the US, AFP reported.
