AI-Related Stocks Are Soaring After OpenAI's Astra Model Release -- WSJ

Stocks tied to AI are having a big day amid growing enthusiasm over OpenAI's latest model, called Astra.
Shares of CoreWeave, an AI cloud infrastructure company, rose 15% Tuesday. Shares of Lumentum and Coherent, which manufacture optical and laser equipment used by AI data centers, were up 12% and 9% respectively.
Analysts say the Astra model, released last week, represents a significant step up in AI's ability to find its own resources to solve a problem. Its ability to devise and execute novel cyberattacks led OpenAI to limit some of the model's capabilities before public release.
