04:24 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Autoliv (ALV) is pushing the development of virtual automotive safety testing practices through its Human Body Model safety suite, recruiting Toyota Motor (TM) as its first customer, the company said Tuesday. The system combines a detailed digital representation of the human body with software for crash simulation, analysis and visualization, Autoliv said. It is designed to complement physical crash testing by examining crash conditions that can be difficult to reproduce in real-world tests, according to the company. The company said Toyota has begun using the Human Body Model Safety Suite as part of its virtual safety development activities. Autoliv said it plans to make the platform available more broadly across the automotive industry later in 2026.
