- APT surged 10%, supported by stronger network activity, RWA flows, and reduced token supply.
- Aptos burned 1.523 million APT last month, strengthening the supply reduction narrative.
- An upcoming 11.31 million APT unlock could increase selling pressure and challenge bulls.
Aptos — APT, has suddenly grabbed traders’ attention after jumping more than 10% in 24 hours. Daily trading volume also climbed above $109 million during the move. Strong network activity and token burns have added fuel behind the rally. However, bulls now face a major test as 11.31 million APT tokens approach the market. The upcoming unlock could increase selling pressure just as buyers target higher resistance levels.
Aptos Supply Crunch Supports the Latest Rally
Aptos has gained momentum from more than just a technical breakout. The network has experienced stronger activity alongside rising real-world asset flows. RWA net flows reached $145 million during the past seven days. That placed Aptos second behind Ethereum, which recorded $149 million. Transaction activity also points toward renewed interest across the Aptos network. Active addresses reached 57,047 on September 3.
Meanwhile, transactions climbed beyond 16 million during the same period. Such figures suggest more users have started interacting with the blockchain again. The increased activity also helps Aptos generate additional network revenue. Average transaction fees now sit around $0.0005 after the 10x fee increase. Aptos uses collected fees to buy back APT tokens. The network then burns those tokens, reducing the available supply.
Recent burn figures show how the mechanism affects token supply. Around 1.523 million APT tokens were permanently burned during the past month. Total burns have now reached roughly 1.7 million tokens since mainnet. Aptos also reports an annualized burn rate of about 1.8 million tokens. The supply reduction gives bulls another argument for higher prices. Fewer circulating tokens can support price when demand remains strong.
11.31M APT Unlock Could Challenge Bulls
The biggest concern now comes from Aptos’ upcoming token unlock. Tokenomist estimates that 11.31 million APT tokens will enter circulation within a week. The unlocked tokens carry an estimated value of $6.88 million. The amount represents roughly 0.65% of the released supply. That release could create additional selling pressure for APT.
Some holders may choose to lock in profits after the recent 10% surge. Increased supply could also make sustained gains harder near major resistance. Bulls therefore face a difficult setup over the coming days. The size of the unlock deserves attention alongside recent burn figures. Aptos burned roughly 1.523 million tokens during the past month.
The upcoming release therefore greatly exceeds the latest monthly burn figure. That difference could temporarily weaken the supply-crunch narrative. Still, the unlock does not automatically guarantee a price decline. Strong demand could absorb the additional tokens entering circulation. Continued network growth could also attract fresh buyers.
