CrowdStrike, OpenAI Expand Partnership to Secure Codex Agents

08:44 AM EDT, 09/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CrowdStrike (CRWD) has expanded its partnership with Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI to extend enterprise security to Codex agents and bring OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Cyber to the Falcon platform, the cybersecurity company said Wednesday. CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian will provide runtime visibility and controls for Codex agents, including the ability to identify deployed agents, monitor activity, detect compromised or unauthorized behavior and enforce permitted actions across environments, it said. Additionally, the companies will integrate GPT-5.6 Cyber into CrowdStrike's Frontier AI Readiness and Resilience Service, CrowdStrike said.
