Marriott International, LG Electronics Jointly Develop Cloud-Based Guest Room Entertainment, Technology Platform

09:39 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Marriott International (MAR) and LG Electronics have developed a cloud-based guest room entertainment and technology platform, initially piloting it across 40 hotels in the US and Canada, the companies said Tuesday. The platform integrates LG's hospitality and connected-device capabilities with Marriott's technology infrastructure to enhance in-room entertainment, device management and connected guest services. The companies said the pilot could eventually expand globally across participating Marriott hotels, with plans to explore additional connected digital experiences and centralized technology management.
