08:56 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were falling premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) down 1.5% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 2.1% lower. Sony Group's (SONY) semiconductor division will build an artificial intelligence model for facility maintenance with Saudi Aramco, Nikkei Asia reported. Shares of Sony were up more than 1% pre-bell.
