CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens muted as energy gains cushion broader losses
Reuters2026/08/31 13:33Aug 31 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index was subdued at the open on Monday as oil prices lifted energy shares, even as renewed Middle East hostilities and worsening trade ties with the U.S. kept broader risk appetite in check.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index .GSPTSE was flat at 36,545.15 points at 09:30 a.m. ET.
