Corvex Expects Fivefold Increase in Data Center Power Capacity

08:08 AM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Corvex (MOVE) said Monday that its critical IT power capacity is expected to increase more than fivefold, with a potential pathway to a 13-fold increase. The company said the expansion involves doubling capacity at its Mid-Atlantic data center and establishing operations at a second existing enterprise-scale data center in the Midwest. The deployments are expected to increase Corvex's critical IT power capacity to approximately 8 megawatts from approximately 1.5 megawatts by the end of 2026, and both sites are expected to be ready for service in the fourth quarter. Corvex has secured a right of first refusal on an additional 12.5 megawatts of critical IT power capacity at the Midwest site. If it exercises that right and contracts for the capacity, its total critical IT power capacity could exceed 20 megawatts in 2027. Shares of Corvex were up 18% pre-bell.
