Sector Update: Tech Stocks Lower Pre-Bell Friday

09:08 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were lower pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) retreating by 0.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 1.2% lower. Elastic (ESTC) shares climbed more than 25% pre-bell Friday after the company reported higher fiscal Q1 non-GAAP earnings and revenue. Marvell Technology (MRVL) shares were down 7% following the company's fiscal Q2 results. Autodesk (ADSK) stock was 3% lower after the company issued a Q3 adjusted EPS outlook that fell short of the estimates of analysts surveyed by FactSet.
