CIMB Islamic, CIMB Group unit, posts 2Q profit RM 216.51 million
Reuters2026/08/28 09:05- CIMB Islamic Bank, a subsidiary of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, posted 2Q profit of RM 216.51 million for the period ended June 30, 2026.
- Profit fell from RM 462.64 million a year earlier; profit before tax declined to RM 286.37 million from RM 610.86 million.
- Six-month profit dropped to RM 571.24 million from RM 758.49 million; six-month profit before tax slid to RM 757.15 million from RM 1 billion.
- Total assets rose to RM 198.1 billion at June 30, 2026 from RM 188.87 billion at Dec. 31, 2025.
- Customer deposits increased to RM 117.86 billion from RM 114.55 billion; financing and advances edged up to RM 144.22 billion from RM 143.55 billion.
