12:14 PM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Brown-Forman (BF.A, BF.B) is likely to keep its fiscal 2027 outlook unchanged, but weak top-line trends, an expected decline in operating profit and limited signs of improving category trends could keep pressure on near-term results and investor interest, UBS Securities said. The company is scheduled to report its fiscal Q1 results on Sept. 2 before market open. UBS said in a note Tuesday it expects Q1 organic sales to rise 0.6%, or fall 0.7% after distributor inventory changes, compared with the Visible Alpha consensus for a 1.7% decline. The investment firm said it expects stronger sales than consensus in the US, travel retail and non-branded or bulk businesses, while developed international markets are expected to come in below consensus. The brokerage expects fiscal 2027 earnings of $1.62 per share, below the Visible Alpha estimate of $1.71, and forecasts a 5.4% decline in underlying operating profit, compared with the Street's 3.4% decline. UBS maintained its neutral rating and $27 price target for Brown-Forman, saying that weak category trends remain a concern and valuation alone is unlikely to bring investors back without clearer signs of improving demand.
