Shuka Minerals intersects new near-surface Kabwe orebody, flags copper and vanadium mineralization
Reuters2026/08/13 06:04- Shuka Minerals completed drill hole KBDD09 at the Kabwe Zinc Mine, intersecting a previously unknown near-surface orebody south of Speaks.
- Portable XRF readings showed zinc up to 64.95%, lead up to 12.3%, copper around 0.3%, vanadium up to 0.79%.
- Key intercepts included 26.60 m at 8.30% Zn from 48.40 m, 43.70 m at 10.77% Zn from 75.00 m.
- Results are preliminary XRF averages, pending JORC/NI 43-101 laboratory verification.
- Two follow-up holes, KB010 and KB011, also targeted the new orebody, with results expected later.
