Deutsche Telekom boosts 2026 share buyback program to EUR 5 billion
Reuters2026/08/10 04:00- Deutsche Telekom’s board expanded its 2026 share buyback program to EUR 5 billion, up from EUR 2 billion, keeping the end-2026 deadline.
- The third tranche was extended to Dec. 22, 2026, with its cap lifted by EUR 3.425 billion to EUR 3.985 billion.
- About 7,600,000 shares were repurchased in the tranche for about EUR 203 million; up to EUR 3.782 billion remains for repurchases.
- Shares will mainly be canceled, with a smaller portion used for executive pay and employee share plans; purchases run exclusively on Xetra.
