Saturn Oil & Gas moves to buy remaining Burgess Creek shares after securing 99.7% stake
Reuters2026/08/07 20:02- Saturn Oil & Gas moved to acquire the remaining Burgess Creek Exploration common shares via a compulsory process following its takeover bid.
- Saturn has taken up and paid for 133,408,948 shares, representing more than 99.7% of Burgess Creek’s outstanding common shares.
- Cash consideration for the remaining shares is expected to be paid on or about Aug. 26, 2026.
- Burgess Creek is privately held, 97% light oil and liquids weighted, with assets in Saturn’s core southeast Saskatchewan Oxbow area.
