Nihon Kohden swings to operating loss of JPY 983 million in FY26 Q1; net sales fall 5.2% to JPY 47.41 billion

- Operating loss was JPY 983 million, swinging from operating income, while loss attributable to owners of parent widened to JPY 756 million.
- Domestic sales fell 15% to JPY 26.08 billion, while overseas sales rose 10.3% to JPY 21.33 billion, led by Europe’s 32.1% gain to JPY 3.86 billion.
- The company cited lower domestic sales, higher SG&A expenses due to wage increases, and foreign exchange gains versus losses a year earlier.
- It reaffirmed its full-year forecast for net sales of JPY 232.5 billion and income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 15 billion.
