CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar strengthens, benchmark yield climbs
Reuters2026/08/05 13:00The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.1% higher at C$1.405 to the greenback, or 71.17 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4042 to 1.408.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 1.8 basis points to 3.567%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.6289%.
U.S. September crude CLc1 futures rose 65 cents to $76.42 a barrel on Wednesday.
