Stocks Poised to Extend Gains Ahead of SpaceX's First Earnings -- WSJ

Earnings are taking back the spotlight today, culminating in the release of SpaceX's first quarterly report after the closing bell.
Before that, we'll get earnings from Merck, Pfizer, McDonald's, Caterpillar and others.
Stock futures are on the rise, set to build on a rally that drove the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a new closing record yesterday. The yen has slipped against the dollar, as the boost from last week's rare joint U.S.-Japan intervention fades.
International oil prices are strengthening. Iran and President Trump have sent conflicting messages on the status of negotiations on ending the war, though Iran has at least acknowledged it was still talking with regional mediator Oman on how to manage the Strait of Hormuz.
