Reuters2026/08/03 01:53- Firefly Metals reported new high-grade drill assays at its Green Bay copper-gold project in Newfoundland and Labrador, targeting a near-term resource update.
- Upper VMS zones returned intercepts including 11.5 m at 13.2% CuEq, 18.9 m at 8.2% CuEq, 13.5 m at 11.1% CuEq.
- Core Zone drilling hit 65.3 m at 4.3% CuEq, supporting plans to lift Measured and Indicated resources for restart studies.
- Preliminary Economic Assessment remains on track for completion by end-August 2026; mine plan targets at least 70% Measured and Indicated material.
- Green Bay resource stands at 50.4 Mt at 2% CuEq Measured and Indicated, 29.3 Mt at 2.5% CuEq Inferred; cash and liquid investments A$ 196.4 million at June 30, 2026.
