BlackRock’s on-chain tokenized assets reach $2.93 billions as BUIDL accelerates expansion to multiple chain ecosystems
BlockBeats News, on July 14, BlackRock’s US dollar institutional digital liquidity fund BUIDL’s on-chain asset management scale has reached approximately $2.93 billion, continuously setting historical highs and reflecting the ongoing growth in institutional investor demand for tokenized US Treasury products.
Currently, BUIDL has been deployed on multiple public blockchains including Ethereum, Avalanche, Solana, with tokenized issuance managed by Securitize and custody provided by BNY Mellon. Data shows Ethereum remains BUIDL’s largest deployment network with locked assets exceeding $1 billion; Avalanche has seen the fastest growth recently, with weekly asset scale in July doubling to about $900 million; Solana’s on-chain scale has surpassed $550 million.
Reports indicate that BUIDL mainly invests in US Treasuries, repurchase agreements, and cash equivalents, maintains a net asset value of $1 per share, and offers an annualized yield of approximately 3%-5%. As more DeFi protocols utilize BUIDL as collateral and liquidity assets, its application scenarios are expanding from institutional cash management to on-chain financial infrastructure.
Market analysts believe BUIDL’s rapid expansion is becoming an important example of the integration of traditional finance and blockchain, driving continued development of the global tokenized real-world asset (RWA) market.
