Altcoins Humanity and $LAB surge up to 90% while Bitcoin retreats below $73.
- Bitcoin loses momentum and tests support at $72.
- Altcoins surge with gains of up to 81% today.
- Cryptocurrency market remains divided in June.
The cryptocurrency market started the week under pressure, with Bitcoin struggling today to recover important price levels while some altcoins registered strong gains. This movement shows a clear division between the performance of the leading cryptocurrency and some alternative assets that have attracted investor attention in the last 24 hours.
After attempting to stabilize near the $74 mark over the weekend, Bitcoin lost momentum again. The currency fell to around US$72.500 during the day and then traded below US$73.000, increasing caution among market participants.
The movement keeps BTC close to a zone considered relevant by short-term analysts, located around US$72. If this support is broken, the market could face increased selling pressure amid monitoring of global macroeconomic data, risk appetite, and flows directed to Bitcoin-linked ETFs.
Even with the correction in the main cryptocurrency, Bitcoin's dominance remains above 57% of the sector's total capitalization. This data indicates that a large portion of investors still prefer to maintain exposure to BTC, despite occasional price increases in various altcoins.
The combined market capitalization of cryptocurrencies remains around US$2,55 trillion, showing that the sector is still in a consolidation phase after recent episodes of volatility.
Among the positive highlights of the day, Humanity (H) led the gains, registering an increase in value of approximately 81% in just 24 hours. This performance has placed the token among the most closely watched assets in the market.
Another cryptocurrency that showed strong growth was... LAB, which accumulated gains of over 94% in the same period. The significant gains occurred despite the weakness observed in Bitcoin.
Worldcoin (WLD) also maintained the momentum seen recently. The token associated with Sam Altman advanced more than 13%, reaching the US$0,38 region and remaining among the top performers in terms of appreciation among the largest cryptocurrencies in the market.
Among the top 100 digital assets by market capitalization, Morph, Algorand, and Bitcoin Cash led the losses, with declines ranging from 6% to 8%, contrasting with the strong gains seen in other altcoins throughout the day.

VIPOil Risk Premiums and rToken Dividend Arbitrage Strategies
1. This week we focus on cross-asset positioning under an energy shock and arbitrage opportunities in tokenized-stock cash dividends. We recommend assessing market direction separately from income sources. Higher oil can weigh on growth valuations, lift inflation expectations, and spark expectations of Fed rate hikes, putting pressure on equities and crypto. 2. rToken net cash dividends can be distributed separately, but buying spot, shorting a perpetual, and holding across the record date does not automatically create an arbitrage. First confirm ex-dividend eligibility, platform snapshots, after-tax amounts, and the corporate-action rules for the short leg. Then compare funding fees, spreads, and execution costs. A dividend arbitrage strategy can be applied to STRC. 3. Next week's Fed decision and major technology earnings are key. Lower policy uncertainty can help restore risk appetite, but a sustained rebound still needs confirmation from rates, cloud growth, capital expenditure, and free cash flow. Our base case is a monthly-timeframe rebound in risk assets and crypto as earnings season, the Fed meeting, and the midterm elections pass and uncertainty recedes. Assets in focus: BTC, ETH, SOL, WTI, ASML, MSFT, GOOG, AMZN, CAT, and STRC
