X launches Cashtags, supporting real-time quotes for stocks and crypto tokens, and integrates trial in-platform trading with Wealthsimple
According to ChainCatcher, X’s Product Lead and Solana ecosystem advisor Nikita Bier stated that “X has always been the best source for traders and investors to obtain financial information. Every day, billions of dollars in capital allocation are influenced by what people see on their timelines. We have launched a brand new Cashtags feature on iPhone in the US and Canada, bringing real-time financial data directly into X. Here’s how it works: · When you search or post a Cashtag (or contract address), X will automatically recommend matching stocks or crypto tokens for you to easily select your target asset. · By clicking on any Cashtag, users can view relevant discussion threads as well as the asset’s price chart—without leaving the X platform. This feature ensures that users can always accurately access the discussion content for the corresponding stock or token. Cashtags are just the first step in our effort to make X the leading platform for financial and crypto communities. Our vision goes beyond offering charts. Content on X is valuable and actionable, so trading should also be seamless. Today, we announce a pilot integration with Canadian broker Wealthsimple. Canadian users will see a button on Cashtags pages, allowing them to complete trades seamlessly right on X.
