Arc releases quantum-resistant design and roadmap, positioning for blockchain security in the post-quantum era
Foresight News reports that Circle L1 blockchain Arc has published an article announcing the launch of its post-quantum resistance design and roadmap. The initiative aims to proactively defend against the potential threats posed by quantum computing to blockchains, ensuring end-to-end security of wallets, private states, validators, and infrastructure. The roadmap includes support for quantum-resistant wallet signature schemes upon mainnet launch; in the short term, quantum-resistant private state protection will be achieved via private VMs; and in the medium to long term, infrastructure and validator signatures will be gradually upgraded. The quantum-resistant design adopts a full-stack coverage and user-selectable approach, supporting quantum-resistant wallets and private smart contract state protection, while remaining compatible with the EVM ecosystem to avoid large-scale forced migrations.
