U.S. Stock Index Futures Fall as Trump Speaks on Iran War, Oil Prices Continue to Rise
On April 2, as U.S. President Trump delivered remarks regarding the Iran war, U.S. stock index futures fell. The S&P 500 futures were down 0.5%. WTI crude oil surpassed $103 per barrel, rising 4.07% during the day. Brent crude oil saw a significant increase of $4, currently priced at $102.86 per barrel, up 4.06%. In his remarks, Trump stated that if no agreement is reached, the U.S. will strike Iran's energy facilities.
