Base Genesis: The core team will not engage in wash trading the Base ecosystem token behind the scenes
BlockBeats News, January 27th, Base Co-founder Jesse Pollak stated that the Base core team will not engage in any "rug-pulling" of the Base ecosystem token behind the scenes, coordinate privately to deploy funds, actively boost asset prices to achieve specific goals, as doing so would actively harm other assets, be unsustainable or long-lasting, go against Base's values of a free and open market, and likely be illegal. Base is and will be able to drive distribution and adoption of high-quality assets and applications. Base—and all markets—should be free, open, and fair, and my responsibility is to ensure this remains the case.
