Santiment: The number of wallets holding over 100 BTC increased by 135 in February
The cryptocurrency market research institute Santiment tweeted that Bitcoin whales have accumulated more tokens during the mid-term decline and significant volatility of cryptocurrencies.
For small retail traders, especially those who entered the market for the first time in the past 6 months, volatility has led to their liquidation. Overall, in February, the number of wallets holding 100+ BTC increased by 135, while the number of wallets holding less than 100 decreased by 138,680.
This is an ideal environment for rising cryptocurrency market value. It may take several weeks (or even months) to see a widespread bullish impact from cryptocurrencies being absorbed by whales.
