OpenAI CEO: DeepSeek has weakened OpenAI's leading position

In a Reddit AMA Q & A, OpenAI CEO Altman admitted that DeepSeek has weakened OpenAI's leading position in the AI field. He said, "We are on the wrong side of history in open source. I think we need to find a different open source strategy. Not everyone at OpenAI agrees with this view, and this is not our top priority at the moment. We will produce better models, but the lead will not be as great as before."
