In his statement, the new US president, Donald Trump, spoke for the first time about his own memecoin, Official Trump (TRUMP).
Answering a question asked by a reporter about the token, Trump said, “I don't know much about it other than I launched it. I heard it was very successful, what's it like now?”

The reporter then said to Trump, “You've made a lot of money.” Trump said how much he had made and got the answer, “A few billion dollars in the last few days.” To this answer, Trump replied, “A few billion dollars? That's peanuts money for these guys.”
In addition, Trump warned in the same speech that he could also impose tariffs on the European Union and said he was open to the idea of Elon Musk buying TikTok.
