Ripple President: Large banks may launch "market-ready tokenized asset products" in the United States this year
Ripple's President, Monica Long, predicts that some of the world's largest banks may launch market-ready tokenized asset products in the United States this year.
The president of Ripple stated that large banks' participation in cryptocurrency through custody will have a significant impact on the market. She clarified how large financial institutions are showing strong interest in tokenization.
Monica revealed that 15 out of the top 25 global banks have already trialed tokenization projects, indicating their strong interest in tokenization.
She anticipates that most of these banks could potentially launch market-ready tokenized asset products in the United States this year. However, she emphasized that this can only be achieved if the U.S. government provides clear regulation and allows banks to participate in crypto assets.
