Report: Global awareness of cryptocurrency has reached 93%, with males aged 25 to 44 having the highest familiarity
A global survey conducted by Consensys and YouGov shows that global awareness of cryptocurrency has reached 93%, with more than half of the respondents claiming to understand this technology. Males aged between 25 and 44 are most familiar with cryptocurrency.
42% of participants own or have invested in digital assets. Nigeria has the highest holding rate at 73%, followed by South Africa (68%), Philippines (54%), Vietnam (54%) and India (52%).
This indicates that Asia and Africa still have the strongest interest in investing in cryptocurrencies, especially stablecoins, while adoption in European markets including France and Germany is steadily growing.
