Tether mints 1 billion new USDTs
Tether Treasury minted 1 billion new USDT on the Tron blockchain about an hour ago, according to monitoring. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said it was an authorised but unissued transaction, meaning it will be used as inventory for the next issuance request and on-chain exchange.
