Telos Announces zkEVM Roadmap, Plans to Complete Mainnet Deployment by the End of 2025
On September 26, the Telos Foundation announced its roadmap for the development of its SNARKtor-powered Zero Knowledge Ether Virtual Machine (ZK-EVM). The project will be hardware-accelerated, use TLOS as the native token, and rollup on Ether. the roadmap shows that Telos plans to deploy a hardware-accelerated zkEVM with support for hardware-accelerated zkEVMs on the test network in the fourth quarter of 2024, followed by deployment to the main Ether network in the first quarter of 2025. In Q2 and Q3 2025, Telos will progressively integrate SNARKtor on the test network, enabling the aggregation of multiple zero-knowledge proofs to improve verification efficiency on L1. Ultimately, Telos plans to complete full integration of SNARKtor on the mainnet in Q4 2025.
