CME Ether Futures Trading Volume Down 31% YoY in August, Hits 9-Month Low
Total monthly trading volume in CME Ether futures fell 31 per cent sequentially to $20.8bn in August, with the volume figure the lowest level since November 2023.The volume figure was the lowest since November 2023, when the CME's Ether futures trading volume was $20.8bn. Analysts believe the drop in trading volume in ethereum derivatives indicates lower-than-expected institutional interest in the asset.
