Data: 1 billion XRP to be unlocked on Aug. 1, worth $609 million

Nearly $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrencies are set to be unlocked in August, with the 1 billion XRP (worth $609 million at current prices) to be unlocked on August 1 making up a large portion of the total number of unlockings.

Ripple has been unlocking 1 billion XRP on the first day of every month since 2017. it uses two main wallets, Ripple (24) and Ripple (25), to evenly distribute the unlocked tokens each month.
