US SEC Chairman: The approval process for Ethereum spot ETF is "progressing smoothly"

Gary Gensler, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said at the Bloomberg Investment Summit in New York on Tuesday that despite not knowing the specific timetable, the approval process for Ethereum spot ETFs is "progressing smoothly". He emphasized that it's crucial for asset management companies to fully disclose information so these registration statements can take effect. On Tuesday, Gensler also reiterated that most cryptocurrencies are securities and stated there are regulatory violations within crypto platforms.
