Bitwise CIO: Spot Ethereum ETF will attract a net inflow of 15 billion US dollars within 18 months
Bitwise Chief Information Officer Matt Hougan stated that the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF could attract net inflows worth $15 billion within 18 months of listing. Hougan compared the relative market value of Ethereum with Bitcoin, predicting that investors would allocate according to the market values of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs ($1.2 trillion and $405 billion respectively). This would give a weightage of about 75% for Bitcoin spot ETFs and about 25% for Ethereum spot ETFs. Currently, assets managed through Bitcoin spot ETFs have exceeded $50 billion, and Hougan expects this figure to reach at least $100 billion by the end of 2025. As products mature and gain approval on platforms like Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, this number is expected to rise further.
