Vincent Wong, the acting Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, delivered a keynote speech at the 2024 Finance Summer Summit today, stating that Hong Kong will continue to fully promote financial innovation, with a focus on areas such as financial technology, green finance, DeFi (decentralized finance) related to Web3 (third-generation internet), and virtual assets. The government will ensure that financial risks are kept under control. On the other hand, it will continue to expand the mutual access between Hong Kong and Mainland China's financial markets.
