CME Ethereum options trading volume hits new high in May
Golden Finance reported that according to data from The Block, CME Ethereum futures options trading volume reached $1.26 billion in May. This is a significant increase compared to the $615.75 million trading volume in April, and set a record high for monthly trading volume. According to the Wintermute market update on Wednesday, the number of open Ethereum futures contracts on CME is close to its all-time high. Wintermute analysts said that the increase in open interest shows that institutional investors are increasingly interested in Ethereum trading (relative to Bitcoin) due to the expected launch of the Ethereum spot ETF.
