Manta: Users who spent high gas costs during DDoS attacks on the network will be compensated

On January 20th, Manta Network announced on social media that they will compensate any Gas fees paid on Manta Pacific between January 18th, 2024 at 17:30 (TGE time) and January 20th, 2024 at 11:30 that are greater than 0.001ETH. Manta Network is the first Ethereum Layer2 on Celestia, and through Celestia DA, users can significantly save on Gas costs. In one month, Manta has saved users approximately $1 million in Gas fees. Unfortunately, the network experienced a DDoS attack that caused Gas prices to temporarily rise far beyond normal levels. In response, the Gas fees generated by this event will be refunded to affected users.
