aelf will distribute 120 million ELF tokens as rewards to BPs, candidate nodes, and voters, accounting for 12% of its total supply

The public chain project aelf announced that in order to encourage governance participation, aelf will reserve 120 million ELF tokens (equivalent to 12% of the total supply of ELF) as rewards for BPs, candidate nodes, and voters. BPs can also receive additional rewards, including transaction fees, SideChain index fees, and resource token transaction fees. In the governance election, there is no limit on the number of voters, but there are limitations on the number of BPs and candidate nodes. The total upper limit for BPs is 2N+1. It is reported that aelf adopts the AEDPoS consensus mechanism and distributes governance authority to three important roles that jointly maintain aelf: block producers (BPs), candidate nodes, and voters. BPs are full nodes that store data, verify transactions, and participate in aelf governance by voting on proposals for parliament. Candidate nodes have the potential to become BPs and need to participate in governance elections. Voters are holders of Mainnet ELF tokens who vote for nodes by staking ELF tokens.
