$GRVT Crypto markets saw a volatile week. Geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty weighed on sentiment. Bitcoin and major altcoins faced selling pressure, while liquidations added to the swings. However, some altcoins stood out as exceptions, posting strong gains moving closer to recovering their October losses. Weekly winners Starknet [$STRK] – A Layer-2 scaling network posted a strong double-digit rally Starknet [$STRK] led this week’s gainers with an 88% increase, propelling the token to the $0.12 high. The rally has brought $STRK back to levels last seen in late Q4 2025, putting it closer to recovering the losses from the October crash, when the token peaked near $0.30. Technically, this means that long-term investors who bought before the crash are close to breakeven and ready to cash out. On the other hand, the rally has driven the RSI to overbought levels, increasing the likelihood of a pullback. As the weekly chart shows, $STRK’s RSI has climbed much higher than the level it hit during the Q4 rally. According to technical analysis, this means that the price is at risk of cooling if the buying pressure subsides. That said, the daily chart hasn’t shown signs of cooling down yet. The situation can be interpreted as a positive sign, which means that buyers are still in control of the situation, and FOMO isn’t gone yet, despite the fact that the daily RSI is already in the overbought region. According to AMBCrypto, this divergence is a sign that while weekly RSI might suggest that $STRK is due for a short-term selloff, strong daily momentum could absorb the pressure and cause liquidity sweeps. If buyers continue to push, $STRK could be set up for a short squeeze with $0.15 as a possible target. Bitway [$BTW] – Crypto project reinforced bullish conviction over the week Bitway [$BTW] was the second-largest weekly winner, climbing 35% and nearing the $1.70 mark. The token is on track to close the week at another all-time high, but $1.70 could be a crucial resistance level to keep an eye on. Notably, the daily chart has not shown any cooling-off period even after the rally. In fact, $BTW has managed to register 10 consecutive weekly green candles, and every dip on the daily chart has attracted buying interest. So, both the price and the trading volumes remain bullish, which could lure more buyers into the fray. Consequently, if $BTW breaks above $1.70, the next target could be around $2. However, after such a strong rally, some traders may take profits. Nevertheless, as long as buyers continue to step in on dips, the bullish trend could continue. Aerodrome Finance [$AERO] – Decentralized exchange staged a strong recovery Aerodrome Finance [$AERO] took third place among this week’s gainers, climbing by 11%. While the rally is inferior to $STRK’s and $BTW’s, $AERO’s chart looks relatively stronger. The RSI indicator is in the high range, but continued buying pressure and FOMO may trigger another jump. On a daily chart, $AERO has managed to move past the mid-September resistance near $0.92 and is now approaching the $1 mark. The weekly RSI has also not hit the overbought level as $STRK did, which leaves a possibility for further gains. If the buy wall manages to get $AERO past $1, the rally could continue. Meanwhile, should the token fail to break above this level, there is a possibility of some profit-taking and a short-term cooldown. Weekly losers Venice Token [$VVV] – Native token of the ecosystem entered a cooldown phase Venice Token [$VVV] was the biggest loser this week with a 25% drop. After seven consecutive winning sessions that propelled the asset to a record $35, this bearish turn could either be a shallow correction or a sign of a deeper selloff. For the time being, however, the chart looks more like a shallow correction than a beginning of the end. As can be seen in the chart below, the weekly close printed by $VVV this week erased all the gains made during the prior week, marking the first red weekly candle in over a month. Meanwhile, the RSI has cooled off from overbought territory while the price has been ranging within a tight channel over the last two days. Technically, this development suggests bullish momentum has slowed down, but buyers are still in control. If $VVV manages to hold support, the correction could remain shallow. Sky [$SKY] – Governance token saw bears regain control over the week Sky [$SKY] was the second-biggest loser this week, shedding 17%. Interestingly, its daily and weekly charts resemble to that of $VVV, suggesting that this is more of a cooldown than the beginning of a deeper sell-off. The rally was coming after several weeks of gains and marked the first correction since the beginning of the rally in Q2 2026. The weekly RSI had also entered the overbought territory, so it is not surprising that it corrected. Meanwhile, $SKY is trading in a tight range on the daily chart, which suggests that the buyers are trying to hold their ground. However, the next test awaits as $SKY is approaching the resistance area it was facing in Q2. If the buyers manage to hold the support and resume the uptrend, the correction will be shallow. Otherwise, the bearish pressure may intensify. Rain [$RAIN] – Blockchain project reinforced its bearish structure over the week Rain [$RAIN] registered as the third-largest weekly loser, posting an 8% drop. While it underperformed the double-digit declines posted by $VVV and $SKY, its weekly performance remains the worst among the three. Technically, the weekly fall comes on the back of six consecutive weeks of losses, with the prior five weekly declines averaging nearly 6%. As such, the recent sell-off appears to be more of a strategic distribution than one wave of panic selling. Meanwhile, buyers have been unable to muster sufficient buying pressure to absorb the supply, with the overall trend remaining bearish on the weekly timeframe. As such, the path of least resistance for $RAIN is lower, with the decline below the important $0.01 threshold highly likely. Other notable losers In the broader market, downside volatility hit hard. Mina Protocol [MINA] led the losers with a 47% drop, followed by Capricorn [APR] falling 44%, and Chump Coin [CHUMP] slipping 43% as bearish momentum intensified. $GRVT Sky [$SKY] had one of the most notable declines in the past day. The asset has since plunged by 12% at press time, as bearish pressure continues to kick in, forcing the price lower. Market analysis indicates that further decline isn’t off the table and that investors need to be more wary, as capital flow and losses recorded in the past day still carry a major risk of further decline. Whale activity drives $SKY’s latest decline Whales, traders who control large amounts of capital in an asset, have been the major influencing factor behind $SKY’s recent performance. The Whale Retail Delta, a tool used to track which cohort of the market is dominating, confirmed the presence of whales in the market. The Whale Retail Delta has a reading of 0.288 as of writing, a surge from its previous day’s level, confirming that whale activity in the market increased over this period. Whale activity is already affecting the market, with a large disparity between the losses recorded by long and short traders over the past 24 hours. Long traders lost around $63,000, while short traders in the market lost a meagre $84 within the same period. This represents roughly 750 times more losses recorded by longs than shorts over the same period, suggesting the scale of whale involvement in the market and how much it can impact price dynamics. Derivatives data points to further downside The perpetual market has provided the clearest indication that a potential decline could be ahead for $SKY in the coming trading sessions. This comes as the Funding Rate turns negative, reading -0.0008% at the time of writing. Notably, the Funding Rate began declining from 0.0079% in the early hours of the 8th of October to its present level. When there is a notable decline in the Funding Rate, it confirms that selling began in the early hours of the day. This has also been followed by a contraction in the capital base of the perpetual market. Open Interest, which calculates the amount of capital in the perpetual contracts of an asset, has declined by 13% to roughly $51 million. Whales are already affecting the market, driving a large disparity between the losses recorded by long and short traders over the past 24 hours.

$GRVT On October 7, 2026, Moody’s Ratings scored Sky Protocol a B3 issuer rating with a stable outlook.  This happens to be the first-ever rating the agency has assigned to a stablecoin protocol. This is an important move to institutional investors who may be sitting on the fence as regards USDS, because it gives the dollar stablecoin issuer a score from a second major agency. The only protocol scored by two major agencies Sky announced that the B3 score by Moody’s means it’s the only stablecoin protocol rated by Moody’s and S&P Global. The B3 grade is on par with the “B-“that S&P scored Sky in August 2025. B3 is a non-investment-grade mark.   The protocol saw the rating as a pat on the back rather than a warning about any future occurrence.  Greg Feibus, who serves as the Global Head of Capital Markets at the firm, stated that “The value of independent credit ratings is that they allow institutional investors to assess Sky through frameworks they already use across global markets.”  He opined that Sky attaining multiple assessments only serves to strengthen Sky’s credit profile in the eyes of institutional investors.   What S&P flagged a year prior The latest rating by Moody’s comes with some familiar narratives. S&P rated Sky a B- in August last year, and when it did so, it noted Sky’s high depositor concentration, highly centralized governance, and weak risk-adjusted capitalization.  In fact, Sky’s founder, Rune Christensen, had up to 9% of the protocol’s governance tokens, which S&P felt gave him enormous influence over Sky’s future, especially with extremely low voter turnout.  Also, Sky’s 0.4% risk-adjusted capital ratio and thin surplus buffer were flagged by S&P as a “noteworthy weakness,” and predicted an upgrade wasn’t realistic in the next 12 months.  Reports framed the grade in blunter terms: a B- rating makes USDS and DAI somewhat on the same level as government bonds from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Any debt with a rating below BBB- is pretty much high-yield or junk. Why institutions are interested anyway The ratings come at a good time; they come as institutional investors strengthen their bond with Sky.  Galaxy Digital saw that $100 million of sUSDS (the savings version of USDS) was added to its corporate treasury. It went on to approve USDS as collateral throughout its institutional lending desk and purchased an unknown amount of the SKY governance token. All of this happened in late September. Feibus linked the interest from Galaxy to the S&P rating from 2025. Standard Chartered’s projection for Sky’s USDS is a favorable one, with the bank predicting 5x returns for token holders by 2028.  The reserve problem Sky is looking to fix Sky seems to have a challenge with its reserves, as both Moody’s and S&P noted in their scorecards. The protocol seems to be taking action; however.  In March of this year, there was a vote by the governing cooperative of the protocol to slash its daily buyback program by 87% and to redistribute funds towards its backstop buffer. It remains to be seen if such a move will move the needle with both agencies.
