Peacock will serve as the Global Head of Consumer and Retail M&A at JPMorgan starting early next year.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that, according to reports, JPMorgan Chase is poaching Managing Director and senior consumer and retail M&A banker Richard Peacock from Bank of America. Peacock will take up the role of Global Head of Consumer & Retail M&A at JPMorgan Chase early next year, based in New York.

Peacock has served at Bank of America for over ten years and was appointed co-head of the bank's newly established Private Capital M&A group earlier this year. This group is designed to assist private equity firms across industries in achieving investment exits and asset monetization.

JPMorgan Chase's consumer and retail investment banking team ranked first in the Dealogic industry rankings for the whole of 2025 and the first half of 2026.
