Bitget Publishes rToken Institutional Playbook for Cross-Asset Capital Management

Victoria, Seychelles, July 28, 2026 — Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has released an rToken institutional cross-asset collateral playbook detailing how market makers, hedge funds, quantitative trading firms, prime brokers, and asset managers can use its Cross-Asset Unified Account (UTA) to improve capital efficiency across crypto and tokenized US equities. The publication outlines practical portfolio and financing strategies designed for institutions managing capital across multiple asset classes.
While unified trading accounts have become common across the crypto industry, institutional adoption increasingly depends on how efficiently collateral can move between markets. Bitget's Cross-Asset UTA extends beyond crypto by allowing eligible tokenized US equities to function alongside digital assets within the same margin engine, creating a single pool of collateral across asset classes.
The institutional playbook focuses on portfolio construction rather than market access. It explores ways institutions can use crypto holdings to finance tokenized equity exposure without reducing core digital asset positions, mobilize equity holdings as collateral for crypto strategies, optimize financing through unified lending, and choose between pooled or isolated borrowing structures depending on portfolio objectives and risk management requirements.
"Institutions already have access to equity markets. The challenge is making capital work efficiently across different markets, and that’s where onchain capabilities shine," said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. "As tokenized assets become part of institutional portfolios, the focus shifts from access to capital deployment. The ability to manage crypto and tokenized equities within one collateral framework creates new opportunities for financing, risk management, and portfolio construction."
Bitget's Cross-Asset Unified Account currently supports more than 370 collateral-eligible assets, including 100 tokenized US equities, allowing institutions to consolidate collateral that would traditionally be split across separate crypto exchanges and brokerage accounts. The unified risk engine enables eligible crypto and tokenized equity positions to share collateral and offset margin requirements within a single account.
The publication also examines several institutional trading scenarios, including cross-asset collateralization, collateral mobilization, financing optimization, dividend carry strategies, and configurable lending structures that balance capital efficiency with risk isolation. Rather than prescribing investment strategies, the playbook provides a practical framework for evaluating how tokenized assets can be integrated into institutional trading operations.
The release of the institutional playbook builds on Bitget's broader Universal Exchange strategy, which brings digital assets, tokenized equities, commodities, foreign exchange, and other global assets into a unified trading environment. As institutions increasingly manage portfolios that span both digital and traditional markets, Bitget continues expanding the infrastructure designed to support cross-asset capital allocation.
