$SONEIUM to Connect Soneium’s Entertainment Ecosystem
To connect creators, IP holders, app makers, fans, and investors, Soneium will launch $SONEIUM as a native ecosystem token. The project targets to create an on-chain entertainment economy that enables communities to fund and join the growth of creative projects.
But, Soneium has not announced the token supply or TGE date. More information will be released shortly.
Tokenized IP Targets Entertainment Investments
The programme consists of three programmes: IP Tokens, IP Vault and Tokenised IP Bonds. IP Tokens may be for creators, studios or individual entertainment properties, with IP Vault serving to unlock opportunities like music catalog funds. Tokenized IP Bonds will be targeting entertainment business income, such as concert royalties.
The first announced IP Token is the character from Super State Holdings, Moriusa, who is based in Tokyo. The project includes plans to venture into licensing investments, animated short films and merchandise.
Soneium will also be working with DayOneDream to bring K-pop concert-business royalties on-chain, where artists such as BTOB and LEE CHAE YEON are included. The Soneium Portal will be the key discovery and interaction platform for this, and the Startale App will offer access to the broader ecosystem.
Blockchain Infrastructure for IP Rights and Royalties
Soneium is focused on building an Onchain IP Architecture: IP Registry, which supports all records of creative work and ownership information, IP Graph, which maps the relations between original and derivative creations, and IP Execution Layer, which automates the licensing and royalty payment process using smart contracts.
The network also offers ERC-8432, a future Ethereum standard that will facilitate application and AI agent licensing. The new system is designed to support creators in managing the use of their content in this evolving landscape of AI-generated content.
Soneium states that it’s not an alternative to copyright laws, but an addition. Successful adoption of the initiative will rely on development of the token, products and infrastructure to license the new offering.
