According to preliminary data from Counterpoint Research, global PC shipments in Q3 2026 declined by 21% year-on-year to 57 million units, representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 13.8%. This was mainly due to persistent high costs of storage and other components, which drove up PC prices and put pressure on market demand. Global PC shipments in Q4 2026 are expected to fall by 27% year-on-year, with total shipments for 2027 projected to remain roughly flat compared to 2026. Among manufacturers, Lenovo shipped 15 million units in Q3 2026, a year-on-year decrease of 23%, with a market share of 26.3%. HP ranked second with shipments of 10.3 million units, down 31% year-on-year, and a market share of 18.1%. Dell ranked third with 7.6 million units shipped, down 25% year-on-year, capturing 13.3% of the market. Apple’s shipments fell by 11% year-on-year to 5.6 million units, though its market share rose from 8.7% in the same period last year to 9.8%. ASUS shipped 5.2 million units, a year-on-year decline of 7%.
