Harvard University’s annual financial report released on Thursday local time shows that its endowment fund grew by 27.1% in the 2026 fiscal year, marking the strongest investment return performance in the past five years. The total size of the fund now approaches $68 billion. In the annual report, Harvard’s Chief Financial Officer Ritu Kalra and Chief Investment Officer Timothy Barakett wrote: “This return will enhance the endowment’s long-term ability to support the university’s development. Strong investment returns will gradually provide support for Harvard’s various initiatives through future fund allocations.” According to Harvard’s second-quarter 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the university holds $2.2 billion in SpaceX shares, making it the endowment’s largest single holding by market value, followed by TSMC, with a position worth slightly under $350 million.
