Tesla plans to release a prototype of a flying Roadster.

Tesla hopes to inject new vitality into its ground vehicle business through a flight demonstration. The electric car manufacturer plans to unveil the long-promised new Roadster sports car in Texas on Thursday, relaunching and upgrading this model that was discontinued over ten years ago. This high-end car will further enrich Tesla's streamlined product lineup, which currently relies mainly on two mid-priced passenger vehicles. However, this showcase will not be a traditional unveiling. Tesla is expected to present a Roadster capable of flight. For years, Tesla has been developing a prototype, and CEO Musk has suggested that the car could achieve flight using rocket-like technology. Thursday evening’s event will take place in a strictly controlled environment at a SpaceX rocket testing facility near Waco.
